New McLaren Artura To Debut On The 16th of February

Nowadays, in the automobile industry, electric civilian cars and hybrid sports cars have gradually become a trend. A few days ago, Zhichepai learned from foreign media that McLaren’s Artura, a new hybrid super sports car, will make its global debut on February 16.

For this car, McLaren Automotive CEO Mike Flewitt commented: “From all the details of the platform architecture and high-performance hybrid powertrain, to the body, interior and avant-garde driving interface, the new Artura will achieve Comprehensive innovation from the inside out.

At the same time, the new car also draws on McLaren’s decades of experience in leading ultra-lightweight racing and road sports car technology, and introduces our professional electrification research and development experience into the super sports car field.

It is understood that the new Artura is McLaren’s first model based on a new electrified platform architecture and designed and produced by the McLaren Composites Technology Center (MCTC) in the UK.

From the previous spy photos, the new Artura styling borrowed a lot of design elements from McLaren 720S and McLaren GT.

In terms of power, the new Artura will be McLaren’s first model with a twin-turbocharged V6 gasoline engine. The engine will be combined with an electric motor to become a new lightweight and high-performance hybrid powertrain with a total output of more than 600 horsepower.

The new Artura also supports a pure electric driving mode. From the latest news, the new car has a pure electric cruising range of 20 miles (32 kilometers).
