Apple Reportedly Rumored To Push Folding Full-screen Tablet/Mac In 2026

After Samsung, Huawei and other manufacturers have successively launched foldable screen mobile phones, it has recently been reported that Apple will develop and launch a foldable full-screen laptop computer, which may be launched in 2026 at the earliest.

Apple is said to be developing a foldable tablet with a 20-inch display that will use “dual screens,” without a physical keyboard or touchpad, and that all tasks will be performed using the touch-screen display, which can be customized according to the user’s needs. Samsung Display has decided to invest 4.1 trillion won to start producing 8.6-generation OLED panels from 2025 to 2026. LG Display is also investing in medium-sized OLED displays for laptops.

The CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), a display supply chain consulting firm, has highlighted Apple’s potential plans to develop large folding screen devices.

In the past, it was rumored that Apple would develop an iPhone with a folding screen. At the end of 2020, it was also reported that Apple had sent relevant component samples to Foxconn for testing, and requested more than 100,000 folding tests.

In terms of foldable laptops, ASUS has launched related products. In September last year, it launched the ZenBook 17, which is the world’s first 17-inch foldable OLED display laptop.
