Realme GT5 Will Be The World’s First Smartphone, Allowing User To Overclock CPU Without Rooting

Changing CPU clock speeds is nothing new, at least in the PC world. PC enthusiasts have been doing this for years and non-stop.

However, changing the clock speed of mobile chipsets on smartphones is still something new and not many people know about this idea.

Sure, you can root your phone and start overclocking, but the Realme GT5 is about to become the first smartphone model to officially let you do that without any other tools.

Realme GT5 is the upcoming smartphone from Realme and they have confirmed that their smartphone will allow you to adjust the clock speed of the mobile chipset. For those wondering, this smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

As you can see in the image above shared on Webi, you can choose from different clock speeds. Not sure if you have the option to overclock manually right now, but presets aren’t a bad thing either, especially for those who aren’t familiar with the concept of overclocking.

The good news is that the Realme GT5 is absolutely a powerful machine as it will have up to 24GB of RAM, 1TB of internal storage and will launch on August 28 in China. It is likely that the device will launch globally.
