How Apple Perfected iOS 17 To Beat Android With The Addition Of A Split-screen Feature

Apple is expected to hold its WWDC 2023 event on June 5, where it will announce upcoming new versions of the operating system for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and more software update, the company may have a few surprises for users, including a larger 15-inch MacBook Air.

However, the highlight of the update will be iOS 17 for iPhone. While we don’t know what iOS 17 will look like, a recent concept did imagine the iPhone’s landscape and split-screen modes.

The iOS 17 concept, designed by Basic Appe Guy, highlights what the multitasking use of split-screen and landscape mode looks like. Apple’s A-series chip is capable of handling anything you throw at it.

Even if Apple decides to bring Split Screen multitasking to iOS 17, optimizing the software and hardware will allow the iPhone to complete the task smoothly without any lag.

The concept designer shows how Apple can take advantage of the larger screens on larger iPhone models to offer landscape and split-screen modes. The iOS 17 concept shows how an app takes up half of the screen while the other half handles video playback.

Be aware that any other app can be opened, allowing the user to operate two apps at the same time. The Split Screen multitasking interface will remain the same but can be used in portrait as well as landscape orientation.

Landscape mode on iOS 17 will be a pretty neat feature for users who dock their iPhones while working. As can be seen in the image shared above, the widgets are neatly arranged and work the same way they work in portrait orientation. Apps also maintain the same layout with apps rotating on the dock in the same order.
