It Is Almost Time! Teaser Prepares Fans For Mortal Kombat 12 Reveal

Rumors leaked by journalist Jeff Grubb and insider Nick Shpeshal suggest that Mortal Kombat 12 will be unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase.

The Sony event remains without a date to take place, but news shared on the web points to an exclusive transmission in the week of May 25.

Indications of an ad for Mortal Kombat 12 keep happening and, days after Ed Boon released a teaser about the game, NetherRealm releases a new clip. The video highlights a clock counting down to the “12” hand and hints at a narrative reboot for the franchise.

By messing with numbers, it is possible to speculate several theories about the content – date of revelation, release, chronology of the next game -, but all in a little concrete way. However, there is again an appeal for a “time collision”, as if an anomaly was altering the flow of history.

Interestingly, the Mortal Kombat 12 teaser shows a jump from the “11” hand to the “1”. With that, fans are commenting on a possible reboot of the series or on the end of Liu Kang’s plot as a canon character, given his transformation to Guardian in Mortal Kombat 11.

Mortal Kombat 12 follows without information released by NetherRealm.
