Apple Is About To Release Its First 35W Dual USB-C Charger.
Recently, ChargerLAB shared images of what is believed to be Apple’s unreleased 35W charger with 2 USB-C ports, providing a first look at the accessory’s potential design.
The images show that the charger will have a compact design with side-by-side USB-C ports, a foldable power outlet plug and circular indents, providing extra grip to remove the charger. from the electrical outlet. The 35W output will be suitable for charging a wide range of Apple devices, such as the latest iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air, and HomePod mini.
A reference to the power supply was first discovered last week in a document briefly published on Apple’s website revealing:
“Use the Apple 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter and USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device. Connect the USB-C cable to one of the 2 ports on the charger, extend the power plug (if necessary), then plug the charger firmly into the power source. Ensure easy access to the electrical outlet for disconnection. Connect the other end of the cable to your device.”
Earlier in March, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo posted on Twitter that Apple is developing a 30W charger with a new design. In the next tweet, Kuo suggested that the 35W charger might be the same as the one he was referring to. Kuo said the charger is “closer to mass production” and will be released at some point in 2022.

The charger will use gallium nitride (GaN) technology, Kuo said, making it smaller, lighter and more power efficient than silicon-based chargers. Apple released its first GaN charger last year as a 140W USB-C charger for the 16-inch MacBook Pro, and third-party brands like Anker and Belkin also offer their own GaN chargers.
Back in 2018, the Chongdiantou website also released actual photos of the then unreleased 18W charger for Apple’s iPhones.
