Celebrating The 75th Anniversary Of Porsche And The 60th Anniversary Of The 911 Car Series, 911 GT3 RS And 911 Sport Classic Arrives In Hong Kong

It coincides with the 75th anniversary of Porsche and the 60th anniversary of the 911 car series. To celebrate the event, Porsche Center Hong Kong and Macau held a special celebration party, and displayed the important milestones of Porsche 911 GT3 RS and 911 Sport Classic and various models in the past Salute, wait for the editor and everyone to take a look first.

The Porsche 911 car series has been launched for eight generations since 1963. It embodies the eternal car design with smooth lines and rich sporty power. Its iconic appearance also strikes a balance between sports car performance and daily driving.

The 911 GT3 RS brings out more detailed dynamic performance

The 911 GT3 RS, the first track car of the 911 series, has many outstanding performances in motorsport, and at the same time it can be driven legally on the road. The 911 GT3 RS lapped the 20.8-kilometer Nordschleife circuit in 6:49.328, 10.6 seconds faster than the current 911 GT3. Compared to the 911 GT3, the engine has been further developed in a 4.0 rev design, increasing output to 386 kW (525 PS). The 911 GT3 RS accelerates from zero to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 296 km/h in 7th gear. The 911GT3 RS offers three driving modes: Normal, Sport and Track. In track mode, the basic settings, the rebound of the front and rear axles and the rear drive differential can all be adjusted individually.

The 911GT3 RS pays homage to active aerodynamics

For the first time, Porsche has installed the adjustable rear wing function (DRS) on a series-produced sports car. For low drag and higher speeds on the track’s straights, DRS allows the rear wing to be flattened at the push of a button within a specific operating range. When braking hard at high speeds, the airbrake function is activated: the front and rear adjustable aerodynamic components are set to their maximum, creating an aerodynamic deceleration effect that significantly assists the wheels in stopping.

The design of the 911 GT3 RS offers functionality and agile handling, both externally and internally. The interior is in typical RS style: black leather, Racetex fabric and polished carbon fiber panels give it a pure sporty vibe. The 911 GT3 RS is already equipped with the Clubsport package, which includes a steel roll cage, a portable fire extinguisher and six-point seat belts for increased driving safety.

The new 911 Sport Classic celebrates 60 years of the 911 family

The new 911 Sport Classie is the second of four Porsche Heritage Design strategy collections. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 911 car series, the Style Porsche design department and Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur have joined forces to reinterpret the classic 911 styles and equipment from the 1950s to the 1980s, recreating the design features of these decades.

The appearance of the 911 Sport Classic, limited to only 1,250 units worldwide, is inspired by the Original 911 (1964-1973) and the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 of 1972. The 911 Sport Classic adopts the legendary Porsche crest from 1963, and the golden “PORSCHE ” Logo and orange stripes complement each other. The golden Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur nameplate on the front sand panel underscores the model’s noble pedigree and declares it as the finishing touch of craftsmanship. Equipped with 20/21 Sport Classic High-gloss Black lacquered wheels, the center hole cap of the wheel is inlaid with a retro-style Porsche-type emblem.

The new 911 Sport Classic emphasizes the sporty design style

The shape of the 911 Sport Classic rear spoiler is derived from the original “duck tail” specially designed for the 911 Carrera RS 2.7. It is made of ultra-light carbon fiber and painted in Sport Gray with double stripes. The new 911 Sport Classic is the first model to be available in the Sport Gray Metallic colourway. In addition to the exclusive Sport Gray Metallic color scheme, the new 911 Sport Classic also has the option of pure black, Agate gray metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic or Paint to Sample, a variety of body colors to choose from.

In terms of interior, the high-grade houndstooth pattern is used for the door trim and the center part of the interior seat, and the two-tone leather combination design of black and classic cognac leather is designed. The high-grade interior package forms an elegant contrast with the body color. The Porsche brand logo is embossed on the headrest of the seat, and the words “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” are embossed on the lid of the storage box, reflecting the extraordinarily high-quality elegance.

The new 911 Sport Classic has unmatched powerful performance and shocks the soul

The powertrain concept of the new 911 Sport Classic is also unique: The 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine 911 Sport Classic develops 405 kW (550 PS). Combined with a seven-speed manual transmission, the new 911Sport Classic is the most powerful manual 911 available today.
