iPhone 15 Rumored To Have Up To 20W MagSafe Charging Speed

Apple introduced wireless charging support to iPhone in 2017, when the iPhone 8 and iPhone X models had glass back panels.

Every iPhone since then has supported wireless charging, and with iPhone 12, it introduced MagSafe technology, its proprietary wireless charging system. MagSafe supports 15W charging speeds on iPhone 14 and most iPhone 13 and 12 models.

However, that could change, as a leaker says MagSafe wireless charging speeds could go up to 20W with the iPhone 15 range.

MagSafe charging uses magnets on the back of iPhone to hold Apple and other certified wireless chargers in place. This is the only way to get 15W of charging.

The move from 15W to 20W makes sense for Apple. In addition to this, we remind you that the iPhone 15 models will be equipped with a USB-C port, which will certainly offer improvements in terms of charging speed with the cable.
